Import links into your reading readlist
Paste a link to any page — a newsletter issue, a blogroll, a bookmarks export — or upload the file itself, and Readplace pulls every URL out for you to review before saving. No account needed to start; you sign up only when you save.
Some of these may arrive as links only
Readplace fetches this page from its own servers, then saves everything it links to the same way. Sites that block automated fetching arrive as a bare link with none of the article in it. Nothing can capture a whole index for you, but the browser extension and the iPhone app take any single article you open in full.
How it works
- Paste a link or upload a file. Any page URL works — a newsletter issue, a blogroll, a link roundup — as does any text-shaped file: HTML, JSON, CSV, or plain text.
- Review the extracted links. Readplace lists every URL it found; untick the ones you don't want.
- Sign in to save. Saving the selection to your reading readlist is the only step that asks for an account.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to import?
No. Paste a link or upload a file and review the results straight away — an account is only asked for when you save the selection to your readlist.
What file formats work?
Any text-shaped file: HTML, JSON, CSV, OPML, Markdown, or plain text. Readplace scans for http(s):// URLs, so the exact format doesn't matter.
How many links can I import at once?
Up to 2,000 links per import, from files up to 4.5 MB. Split a larger export into smaller files and import them one at a time.
Is there a Pocket import?
Yes. Upload the HTML export file Pocket produced and every saved URL comes across; tags and read state don't, because Pocket's export never contained them.
Can I import links from a newsletter?
Paste the URL of the issue and Readplace lists every article it links to. The same works for blogrolls and link roundups.
