This article is too short to summarise.

One secret that Facebook and Google don’t tell you is that they have more teams working in internal tooling than you have in your company.

Their success is not because they can develop software efficiently, their success is because they have a lot of money to pump into their system and on people. There are many other factors that can influence their success.

There are many people out there with an insane amount of technical experience above many Facebookers and Googlers. They are the ones who have built the foundation of software as you know it and can help you to produce more with less cost, not Facebook or Google. They are a product company.

Arguing that just because a big company have built a library and therefore that library is perfect is a fallacy. More specifically an Argument to Authority.

A piece of advice I can give you is to stop looking at something due to their authority and start looking at things based on their merit.

Linus, Martin Fowler, Uncle Bob, Alan Turing… they are not working or ever worked on Google or Facebook.

I plan to write many articles talking about many things. I have (not kidding) over 50 drafts to write, Event Sourcing compared to Redux is one of them. It’s just that I am one person with tons of responsibilities and a day has just 24 hours.

I’ll write about it. It’s not about it “if”, but about “when”.
