Incremental Delivery means splitting a big project into small, usable pieces and delivering them one by one. It accepts that requirements will change and aims to deliver value early, even if the final product takes more steps. The classic cartoon contrasts building a car in four steps (wheels, chassis, shell, finished car) where the user is unhappy until the end, versus five steps (skate, scooter, bicycle, motorcycle, convertible) where the user gets value sooner and can adapt to changes like a divorce. Incremental Delivery focuses on the problem, not the solution, and allows working less while being faster in terms of value delivered. It applies to any task, like calculating crypto profit with a simple JavaScript function in Chrome DevTools instead of a full website. The principle is captured in 'release early, release often' and the agile value of early and continuous delivery of valuable software.
