What matters the most to me is a readable code. The code review takes 2 seconds longer? I can live with it. It wouldn’t have happen if anyone will align their code anyway.
When you have more than a few unaligned, different length, var declarations it’s very unreadable and looks really bad, aesthetically.
One can even claim that aligned code is harder to find (ag/grep etc). I’ve heard that before. Well, I don’t write code for neither grep or git, I’m writing it for people to read and maintain. I’m sure you could find this declaration you’re looking for. Do you usually grepping `var something = value` or just `var something`?
